On one of his regular walks, Nelly, the Bull mastiff, suddenly ran away from his owner, plunging off the Isle of Man cliff edge

The event could have gone out of hands real fast had the canine not been lucky

The Bull Mastiff simply became stuck within rocks just 30 ft above the sea level, miraculously with no signs of severe injuries

A search and rescue was immediately held by the owner's friends and neighbors leading to eventual aid by coastguards and professional rescue team

After nearly five hours of constant "challenging conditions" the dog was winched to safety at about 23:30 GMT

When questioned about the astounding rescue, RNLI Mechanic Tom Edwards stated that the animal was indeed "very lucky"
