According to a survey done recently, farmers all across the world have reported huge financial losses due to dangerous dogs

A rough estimation states that farmers end up losing a whooping millions of pounds every year to these attacks

These attacks are mostly confined to small livestock, including sheep, ewes, guinea pigs, rabbits, and poultry as they are easier to attack

The case is so severe, that some even have to "change the way they live and farm" as stated by NFU Mutual, a leading rural farming insurer

"I just can't mentally and physically go through losing this many ewes. It's mentally debilitating", stated Oliver East, a farmer from Buckinghamshire

And even though not all attacks are deadly, it for sure devastates the affected livestock along with several others in a pack

To counter this, the Government passed a number of new measures in its Kept Animals Bill in June 2021

And while this is definitely a  good measure,the rules are still needed to be implemented and unless done the farmers will be facing such losses for sure

Even Rob Taylor hailing from the National Police Chief's Council states, "Once we can strengthen that law, I think things will fall in place much better."
