The owner of a guard dog has been arrested and sentenced to strict punishment after dog attacked an unsuspecting toddler

Unbeknownst of the family's guard dog, Bolt, the Akita, the toddler came into close contact with the canine that had been left unattended and chained to an abandoned car

Upon being approached by a stranger, the dog then assaulted the kid, going as far as fracturing her skull with his sheer bite force

When questioned in the court, Azam stated that on the fateful day he heard Bolt aggressively barking at something which was then followed by screams of pain

Ultimately to have the dog release the girl, the defendant as well as other by passers had to come to rescue

And while Shafiq was arrested on warrant given that he had failed to show at the court during a hearing, the Akita was ceased and euthanized

As per Judge Jonathan Rose, the dog was found to have a hyper violent temperament and thus the euthanization procedure was followed through
