The ruling was carried out by the B.C. Civil Resolution Tribunal after the woman's ex filed for a case

Reportedly, the couple had previously agreed to share the canine amongst each other for 3 weeks after they decided to move on

Everything was also going perfectly well, when the woman suddenly denied handing over Bentley to his ex for his sharing period

After continually trying to reason out with the woman, the ex filed for a dispute case regarding 'pet sharing'

He demanded to get access to Bentley as previously decided or be compensated with $5000

Hearing this the CRT followed up with both the parties, with the woman only stating that she "no longer felt comfortable" regarding her ex's access to the dog

There were no further reasons apart from her adding that she "discovered some pretty upsetting things" about the man

Therefore, the judge ultimately ruled out that the woman "displays a lack of ability to put Bentley's best interests above her own personal interests"

The woman was later directed to return Bentley within 21 days, while concurrently pay him reimbursement for tribunal fees
