What are Whimzees?

Whimzees Reviews: Do they actually work?

Approved and accorded by leading vets and VOHC, Whimzees are actually a product from the WellPet LLC. Based in the Netherlands, this family-owned company has been creating dental treats for years, along with several other products. So, it is not wrong to say that these dental supplies work considerably well in achieving good results.

Additionally, another reason why this company has been in the news is because of its unique LHD formulation and a non-GMO composition. Manufactured using six basic ingredients, they are not only easy to digest but also proven safe for canine consumption. Similarly, thanks to their all-vegetarian ingredients, there is no risk of allergies and therefore with proper guidance and consultation, even the most sensitive of pups can enjoy this dental treat.

Why choose Whimzees?

A product that is based out of Holland, Whimzees are made by a team of leading canine nutritional experts. These specialists are tasked with the responsibility of manufacturing dental treats that are not only safe for your pooch’s consumption but are also vegan, cruelty-free, and have zero grains and fillers. Thus, if you have been long looking for canine-safe treats that keeps their oral hygiene up-to-date, then Whimzees are a good choice.

To add on to their achievements, the product also has a seal of approval from the Veterinary Oral Health Council and has a supply chain that operates over 32 countries.

What are Whimzees made up of?

In the bid to find if Whimzees actually work or not, we hereby present you a thorough reading to their ingredients and how each of these items affect their efficacy.

Potato Starch

A binding agent that is also filled with energy boosters, potato starch is one of the many primary ingredients that makes up the flavorful and super enticing dental treats of Whimzees. Unlike other forms of starch, potato starch is known to be super light on a dog’s stomach and therefore aid in overall digestion.

Powdered Cellulose

Now we all know that direct cellulose (plant-based) isn’t something that can be digested by our canine friends. However, in case of powdered cellulose, the composition is specifically made considering the canine digestive system, and therefore even though the powdered cellulose has no such nutritional benefits, it is quite useful for adding on to the stool volume.

Lecithin

A mixture of various fatty acids, Lecithin not only enhances the chewiness of the treat but also ensures a myriad of health benefits for your pooch. For instance, when offered with a chew that has appropriate amounts of Lecithin, the continual jaw movement prevents tartar and plaque formation.

Similarly, during the further digestion process, Lecithin is proven to improve the vitamin absorption ability of their bodies, leading to an improved immune system.

Malt Extract

Contrary to other sweeteners, the malt extract is a gluten-free sweetener that is proven best for increasing appetite, offering energy and ensuring enormous amounts of Vitamin B. This particular extract is not sickeningly sweet and is also quite easy on sensitive pooches, although a prior vet consultation is still deemed necessary.

Yeast

Another essential component of the Whimzees, yeast are a rich source of many essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Moreover when consumed they serve an important role in the overall digestion process and therefore yeast-based feed is usually recommended when a pooch is recovering.

Glycerin

Finally, Whimzees consist of glycerin. This ingredient although has no nutritional value is used for retaining moisture and thereby keeping the chewable properties of the dental chew.

To explain this in a better and more understandable way, here is a tabular form of the nutritional formula of Whimzees.

NUTRIENT CONTENT
Crude Protein (min) 1.0 percent
Crude Fat (min) 2.0 percent
Crude Fiber (max) 14.0 percent
Moisture (max) 12.0 percent
Artificial Preservatives NA
Colors NA
Gluten 0 percent

NOTE- This table consists of the approximate nutritional value of all Whimzee dental treats. Final results may vary based upon the type, size and variant of the Whimzee chew.

If you have a chewer at home that just won’t stay still, then Whimzees can be the absolute savior. The product is chewy, long lasting and doesn’t go bad when stored in the right way.

Moreover, they also have been marked safe by the very Veterinary Oral Health Council and therefore are safe for daily consumption. Given their unique textures and durable hardness, they aren’t that easy to be broken down into smaller pieces, and therefore even a single piece can last hours if not days for your canine.

The continuous friction of the chew treat is also quite helpful in scraping up any tartar or plaque that might have accumulated on your canine’s teeth. Not only that but the six ingredients composition that we previously covered above is also filled with many other health benefits, making them a must try.

So, this was all about the Whimzees and their genuine reviews from our side, based upon the data collected from various reliable sources.
